Fibrecurl is a hollow fibre which is spring loaded and heat set to hold its form. When receiving your sofa, your seat and back cushions may look over filled. However the cushions will lose approximately 10% of their loft in the first 2 weeks. Fibrecurl is definitely more comfortable than foam, but with the comfort of fibrecurl comes maintenance. Your cushions should be puffed regularly to prevent the fibre balls from dissipating into each other which will form wadding. If after 2 weeks you find your cushions are too hard, some of the fibrecurl can be removed by simply unzipping the cushion cover and the inner and removing the required amount. We usually use solid timber on the frame of wooden product. Veneer refers to horizontally cut pieces of quality timber which is adhered to particle board. Climate changes between winter and summer cause timber to expand and shrink up to 10mm per 1 meter width which may lead to cracking. Particle board is more stable and is not affected by climate changes. We therefore usually use veneer timber on dining table and coffee table tops to prevent cracking over time.
